Hey there!
I am so excited for our session this weekend, Friday, September 30th! The weather forecast is saying there’s a small chance of rain, but unless you hear from me, we’ll plan to go forward. I’ll text you the day of if it looks like there’s going to be an issue. The location is gorgeous right now–I seriously can’t wait! Here’s everything you need to know:
I love this location. It’s very “traditional fall”, and so beautiful! It’s one of my favorites! In addition to the apple orchards, they have a huge “barn” that sells ice cream, homemade donuts, all kinds of things! It’s so fun! I also saw on their social media today that you can pick all the apples you want for $0.99 a pound through Saturday. So if you’re making a long drive (or even if you aren’t), I totally recommend making it into a fun family outing!
Here are the exact location coordinates:
I’ll be starting sessions at 5, so if you have any questions, please get in touch with me before 4 pm. 🙂 801-362-1889
When you arrive, go ahead and park at the big red barn. No need to go inside, just come find me. I’ll be in the orchard north of the barn. So if you are looking at the barn, they’ll be the orchards to your left. See my lovely map.
I’m usually the only photographer there, so you should be able to identify me! But if not, I’m 5’8″ and have short, dark hair.

Now, about your actual session!
As far as your session, here are my recommendations:
-Feed yours kids before you come. We don’t want hangry kids!
-Please arrive 10 or so minutes early. Because mini sessions are so short, your time will start promptly at your scheduled time, and will end promptly 30 minutes later. I totally understand that things happen, but I stack mini session dates with multiple families to be able to offer discounted sessions. So being late will mean a shorter session. No exceptions.
-Please don’t bring treats to bribe your kids. Kids often get fixated on the treats mom brought, and can’t think about anything else. If you feel like treats are the only way to get their cooperation, let me know and I’ll bring some fruit snacks or smarties. When they’re my snacks, kids don’t feel entitled to them. Another alternative is to tell them they get something (ice cream, or a trip to the dollar store, or something) AFTER the session. (Ice cream or fresh donuts at the barn, maybe?) But trust me when I say, I’m good at getting your kids to smile and cooperate without treats!
-Try to relax and let the session flow. I know family photos are stressful on mom, but once you arrive let me assume the stress and try to remember that we’re here to capture your love for your family!
-Please shoot me a message before the day of your session if there is anything I need to know (maybe you have a child who is sensitive to loud noises, or dad can’t walk up stairs very well, or you want to make sure we get a photo of your twins holding hands and walking, etc. etc. etc.) Please let me know about any special requests or extenuating circumstances in advance!
